In order to bring the ESHGs under one umbrella, many states have formed District Level Federations (DLFs). These DLFs have proved to be strong handholding and capacity building bodies for Elders Self Help Groups (ESHGs). Being registered bodies they are legally recognized and supported by many financial and other institutions.
